The Washington Avenue Telecaster Style Pickup is always a Crowd Pleaser. This style Pickup probably has at least a hundred or more of variations. From traditional Bright and Twangy sound to an incredibly Thick and Powerful Crush. It's all in the Wind and Magnet choice. The Standard Lead/Neck position Washington Avenue comes with Staggered and Beveled Wide Magnetic Poles (.195), Black Fiber Bobbins, a Steel Coper Plated Base Plate, Vintage Black and White Pushback Cloth Wire, Steel Height Adjustment Springs, Black Cotton String Protective Coating and is fully Wax Potted. The Neck Pickup is reverse wound with a Beautiful American Made Chrome Cover. 50's Style Flat Top Narrow Magnetic (.185) Poles Available for the Same Price. The Price for the Standard Washington Avenue Telecaster Set is $190. Lead Pickup is $85. and the Neck Pickup is $95. Alnico 2,3,4,5,8 Magnet choices are available.

The Sky's the Limit
Mix and Match Pickups? Hell Yeah!!! Do it!!! In the above picture is a homemade Pine-Caster. The bridge pickup looks like a Washington Avenue Standard Lead Pickup but it's not. It has all the parts of the Standard Washington Avenue but its wound to 20k Ohms. The Neck Pickup is a Sound Laboratories Mini Humbucker wound to 27k Ohms. Somehow this combination worked out incredibly after of dozens of variations. It started out with a tradition 50 style flat top thin magnets wound to 7.5k Ohms. That was cool but we were looking for some kick. The there was that neck pick. No matter what we tried it just couldn't match the lead pickup. Until this 27k Ohm pickup was made. Sometimes thats how it goes. The guitar doesn't do it until it does.
Whats cool about this setup is the additional wiring. Both pickups have a volume control and can blend when the 3 way switch is set in the middle. There is no tone control on this Pine-Caster. Guitarists wait in line to play this guitar during or Saturday night jams.
